Technical Marketing Associate / Manager – Washington University in St. Louis

The Office of Technology Management (OTM) at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) assists WashU faculty in the transfer of technology from the lab to the global marketplace to create a pipeline of opportunities to benefit society. They are hiring a Technical Marketing Associate / Manager to join their team.

Located in St. Louis, Missouri’s Cortex Innovation District, OTM manages a wide variety of intellectual properties arising from research programs and acts as a resource for faculty in the areas of patent prosecution, material transfer agreements, market feedback and licensing. OTM is in a growth phase, adding positions to its licensing team and creating a New Ventures group to better support inventors.  OTM received over 250 disclosures last year, filed over 500 patent applications, and closed almost 140 deals.  With new support from the university, OTM is building out programs to strategically build value in its technologies and the university continues to provide funds for de-risking technologies, including increasing money available for translating research. It’s an exciting time to work at OTM and in the St. Louis ecosystem

Position Summary

  • Organization: Washington University in St. Louis (WashU)
  • Title: Technical Marketing Associate / Manager
  • Salary range: Up to $105,000, commensurate with experience
  • Work environment: WashU prefers an on-campus presence within a hybrid work environment with 2 days in the office/3 days home. However, this position may be considered for remote work
